General Meeting of the Pension 2000 to be Held in Seoul

The Pension 2000, a friendly gathering of many large institutional investors of pension funds based in United States, will hold its annual general meeting at the Shilla Hotel in downtown Seoul for two days beginning April 12.
Representatives from 40 firms managing pension funds as well as 21 investment advisory companies from the U.S. are scheduled to attend the general meeting. Among those attending, are managers of the top-five pension funds in the U.S., such as the New York City government pension fund and both the California teachers and public officials' pension funds.
Lee Kyu Sung, minister of Finance and Economy, Jeon Chol Whan, governor of the Bank of Korea, and Kim Woo Jung, chairman of the Federation of Korean industries (FKI), will be invited to attend the meeting.
At the Pension 2000 forum, participants will discuss the current investment environment since the economic crisis in Asia, and following Seoul they will hold similar meetings successively in Hong Kong and Taipei.
