Housing Prices On The Rise Again

The price of all types of housing throughout the nation has increased in the last four straight months.
According to a survey of housing price trends released by the Korean Housing Bank, the housing prices of March in major 25 cities increased 0.3 percent from the previous month.
The price of a detached house has shown a steady increase, recording 1.2 and 0.2 percent in last January and February, since the market turned around last December.
The price of an apartment has increased faster than that of a house, and the price of a large house increased more than that of small and medium-sized houses.
March rental prices in cities grew 2 percent from the previous month, which indicates a gradual recovery for the rental market. By categories, the rental price of an apartment was up the most, 3.1 percent. A detached house and a tenement house increased 0.9 and 0.3 percent on average, respectively.
