Government Looking for Measures to Encourage Public Officials

The government is looking for measures to encourage reluctant public officials.
A source from the Budget Planning Committee (BPC) said on April 27 that it is necessary to encourage public officials so as to actively participate in restructuring.

The BPC recently prepared ten proposals to stimulate public official's minds such as a self-development system, hall of honor for public officials, night-duty at home and sending them to the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs.
The Government is going to gather social and governmental opinions and reflect these proposals in its general measures to stabilize the public officials at the end of May.
It also actively considering raising public official's salary decreased during the Korean economic crisis.
