Computer Retailers Heating Up May

Computer manufacturers and retailers are eager to boost sales in May by offering discounts, no-interest installment plans, and other incentives in the hopes that 'Home Month' might bring a wave of consumers.
Samsung Electronics will offer free computer and electronic study materials for customers who purchase personal computers during the next two months.
Sambo Computer on the other hand allows sixth months interest-free for its two-year installment plan on all computer sales. It will also upgrade computers for the first 1,000 customers free of charge.
Daewoo Communications is offering a 44 percent discount on Pentium personal computers for the next month, and offering travel tickets abroad to 313 people.
LG IBM is giving 50 lucky purchasers free tickets to Australia or other Southeast Asian countries.
