Two U.S. Consulates to be Returned

Two American consulate buildings in Pusan and Kwangju, which have been used for more than 50 years free of charge, were returned to the Korean government on April 30.
A source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said, 'These two venues are part of seven places that should be returned to Korea and we will be concentrating to receive all the property currently retained by the United States as early as possible.'
The U.S. is still using Seoul's Yongsan army base and the American Embassy rent-free by a contract made in 1948.
