The 34th Korea Industrial Design Exhibition Set to Open

The 34th Exibition of Korea Industrial Design is set to open at the main exibition hall of the Korea Industrial Design Promotion Institute from May 4 to 13.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) announced on May 2 that it finally selected 218 works, out of a total of 665 submitted, which will be displayed at the exibition. The Korea Industrial Design Exibition is held every year to develop and promote domestic designers.
'Gardening tools designed for the protection of the environment,' submitted by female designer Park Hyeon Sook and Lee Seung Seok, senior at Kyounggi University, won the Presidential Prize.
An official from the MOCIE explained that many industrial designs with innovative styles, reflecting leading domestic industrial design in the 21st century, took part in the contest, adding that design work related to environmental conserns increased.
