Air Traffic at Kimpo Airport Increasing
The transportation of passengers and cargo via the Kimpo Airport has been increasing.Seoul Regional Aviation Administration released on May 18 the transportation statistics of Kimpo Airport in April.
According to the results, the passengers using Kimpo Airport in April amounted to 2.585 million, which was up 11.1 percent from April of last year. This figure is 86.8 percent of that of April, 1997.
Most notably passengers of international flights increased 16.9 percent from last year, reaching 1.15 million people who traveled to 21 countries including United States and Japan.
73.7 percent of passengers who booked flights boarded an increase of over 10 precent last year. Cargo also rose 11.1 percent to 151,000 tons from April of last year.
