"Female hostesses are OK, but not male ones!"

The Ministry of Health and Welfare on May 20 announced that in the near future it would prohibit the hiring of male hosts in bars and other establishments designed specifically for female patrons.
However, the ministry now finds itself in a storm of criticism from various female organizations which are insisting, 'It is unequal treatment and clearly biased against females. As the current law legalizes the hiring of hostesses, why not male positions then?'
The new regulation states that any drinking or entertainment establishment must not permit male employees dance nor sing with customers.
After a grace period, the new act will go into effect in the second half of this year. In the event of three violations, a business operating license will be revoked.
A source from the ministry commented, 'While the country is still in the pain of the economic turbulence, young workers go to bars instead of factories, which has created scandal and in some cases the disintegration of the home.'
