Former President Kim Insulted at Kimpo Airport

Former president Kim Young Sam was splashed with red paint at Kimpo International Airport, while en route to Japan on the morning of June 3.
The ex-president was attacked on his arrival at the VIP parking lot of Kimpo Airport at 10:45 am by Park Eui Jong, 71, with a egg filled with red paint.
He was due to attend a farewell event with about 70 people. The paint soiled the former president's suit and hair, causing Mr.Kim to return to his home in Sango-dong, and delaying his departure until 4:40 pm.
Mr.Kim plans to give lectures at Japanese colleges, including Hitotsubashi University, and meet with financial magnates and politicians, such as former Prime Minister Murayama Tomiichi, until his return on June 15.
The wife of former president Kim, Son Myoung Soon, GNP lawmaker Park Chong Ung, and former chief of Presidential Security Service, Kim Kwang Suk, are accompanying the former president.
