Hollywood"s Rick Yune Visits Homeland

'Hollywood's rising star', Rick Yune, visited Korea, his fatherland on Thursday.
The Korean-American model was selected as one of the eight 'new faces of the year' from the realm of art and movies by Newsweek last January.
The Newsweek 'new face' nominations have produced numerous stars, such as Kate Winslet who starred in 'Titanic', in 1996 and Gwyneth Paltrow, winner of this year's Academy awards with 'Shakespeare in Love', in 1994.
The star came to Korea to participate in the sixth 'Wharton Asian Forum' co-hosted by the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania and its Korean alumni association.
Mr. Yune was chosen as an advertisement model by an agent he encountered in the elevator, while working at a securities company after graduation from Wharton school. He became the first Oriental to model for Polo and Versace within a year of his debut.
The new star, who lives at Beverly Hills in LA, made inroads to Hollywood with the movie 'Snow on the Japanese Cedar', to be shown in the fall, playing a Japanese-American.
