Contingency Plans for New E-Mail Virus

'Watch out for the new e-mail virus!'
The new type of e-mail virus, the so-called 'worm virus', has arrived in Korea after totally dominating the United States, Germany and Japan.
According to the computer business and vaccine industry, the virus has already cropped up eight times in Korea hinting at rapid movement as it automatically goes through electronic mail transactions.
Companies such as ahnlab.com and symantec.com are distributing a vaccine through the Internet to eradicate the virus.
The 'worm virus' infects all e-mail files which end with .cpp, .xls and .doc, deleting data on the spot.
If a user receives a message which says 'zipped-files.exe' and opens the file, it will damage the computer and erase material.
Experts stated, 'This virus harms only e-mail- attached computers, so other program users do not have to worry,' advising that e-mail users receive the immunity vaccine through the Internet as early as possible.
