Electronic Firms Provide Free Repair Service for Rain-Hit Areas
Computer manufacturers have decided to offer a free repair service in areas badly affected by the recent heavy rains.Samsung Electronics on August 2 organized an emergency maintenance service team of 311 repairmen to fix computers and other household electric appliances in nine areas including Paju and Munsan.
Customers will be charged only in the case of a particularly expensive repair, and then only for the price of parts, the company said.
Daewoo Telecom has also made available a 100-strong emergency team to repair electric appliances damaged by the storms.
LG-IBM and LG Electronics sent 300 employees to cities hit by torrential rains, while Trigem Computers have decided to provide a free repair service for its customers after the rain stops.
