ASPAT Festival to Be Held at COEX in October
The Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA) announced Monday that the eigth Asia-Pacific International Trade Fair (ASPAT 1999 Seoul) will be held from October 13 to 17 at the COEX building in Seoul, with the participation of representatives from 25 countries.The expo started in 1966 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the aim of promoting Asian countries' mutual exchange of trade, investment and technology.
Twenty-five nations including the United States, Australia, Japan, China, India and Malaysia together with 400 individual companies and 1,000 foreign buyers will attend the Seoul meeting this time.
KOTRA said, 'It will be a great opportunity for Korea to increase exports after the recent economic blow.'
