Natural Reserve in Puchon to Open Next Spring

A natural reserve which will put on display the life of insects, plants and fish will be constructed in Puchon by April next year.
The Puchon city government announced on August 17 that a Reserve for Natural Study, which will comprise a 2,310 square meter exhibition hall and an 18,480 square meter park, will open in April 2000.
The reserve will offer four exhibition rooms entitled The Ecology of Interesting Insects, General Plants and Insects, Korean River Fish and Korean Agriculture.
Five hundred representatives of 15 species of insect and 4,000 Korean fish of 30 kinds will be housed. A zoo, botanical garden, natural flower garden, butterfly greenhouse and artificial waterfall will also be located in the park.
A city official said, 'It will make a good school for children and good park for adults.'
