Famous Musicians Line Up for Seoul Int"l Music Festival
The Seoul Arts Center is to hold the '99 Seoul International Music Festival', which is one of the biggest classical music concerts in Korea, at its concert hall from September 7 to 14.The festival will open with Debussy's 'Prelude a L'apres-midi d'un Faune' performed by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Bruno Ferrandis.
Along with Korean musicians, such as pianist Paik Kun-woo, conductor Gum Nan-se, violinist Kim Min and Korean traditional instrument Haegumist Kang Eun-il, famous foreign orchestras and musicians, including the Bolshoi Chorus Concert, cellist Bernard Greenhouse, the NHK Chamber Orchestra and violinist Elissa Lee Koljonen will perform during the festival.
Notably, the ballad pianist Richard Clayderman will play a romantic repertoire in a duet with Korean pianist Kim Hae-jung on September 13.
