Gov"t to Receive Nokunri Victim Report
The government Tuesday has officially decided on how it will respond to the almost 50-year-old Nogun-ri massacre of Korean civilians by the U.S. Army during the Korea War. Beginning October 22, survivors and witnesses can submit testimonies on the incident to North Choongchung provincial offices. After shifting through the material and other related documents, the government will send a delegation to the massacre site to closely investigate. Moreover, as similar cases are also slowing coming to the surface, it will set up a systematic protocol to handle other incidents of atrocities committed during the war.
