"Korean Labor Market Positive"
The Ministry of Labor announced on October 22 that the delegation sent by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to investigate the Korean labor market said, after their 2-week investigation, 'We were impressed by the Korean government's policy on the labor market and the social stabilization seen since the exchange crisis in November 1997. We found the Korean market to be positive and bright.'The delegation promised expert support for Korea.
The delegation, which has visited 37 governmental administrations and facilities, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, since its arrival on Seoul on October 4, departed Seoul Thursday.
