Shinsegae May Cancel Holidays

Shinsegae department store may be open to cutomers every day for the rest of the year.
Although it has until now closed for holidays two days per month, it is considering giving up any more holidays from this month to the end of the year to maximize business.
Shinsegae stated, 'To meet our business goal for the year, we have to do our best until December and so are considering canceling holidays for at least the rest of the year.'
It will hold talks with labor representatives on the new policy.
It may face opposition to the change as the labor representatives claim that, 'Since the revival of the regular holiday system in August, most of our employees have had only one day off in September and October due to consecutive bargain sale events. We need to unwind.'
A source from another department store mentioned, 'It is like the law of the jungle. As soon as one store implements a policy of no holiday, rival stores have to follow it up immediately.'
