Visit Korea 2001 Campaign Begins

As the campaign for the 'Visit Korea in 2001' draws near, event organizers have commenced a full-blown marketing blitz.
According to the Korea Tourism Authority on Monday, it recently opened its Korean Internet website at http://www.2001visitkorea.com and its English language site will be up and running by next month.
The homepage provides upcoming special events in the years 2000 and 2001, bonus information and other savings available, games, as well as an electronic photo gallery.
As a prelude to 2001, it will collect tourists and ski enthusiasts from all over Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia for a ski festival this December 8 to March 12, 2000.
The program for 2001 begins on New Year's Day with a gala opening ceremony, followed by a world music and movie festival, China Expo, Taekwondo demonstration and winter festival later in the year for foreign visitors.
