Internet Stats Site Created
The National Statistical Office(NSO) established an Internet site,'STAT-KOREA' at www.stat.go.kr, which provides 399 kinds of statistical data compiled by 107 different domestic statistical institutes.At STAT-KOREA, people can search for diverse statistics on finance, population, employment and wages, which are categorized by sector.
Comics and quizes on statistics for children are also being provided, while an Internet shopping mall for the sale of various government books is linked to the site.
A source at NSO said, 'We plan to expand the statistics offered to include stats from overseas.'
