Prosecution Investigates Suspicions of Cho Lobby

The Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office, which has been investigating suspicions of tax evasion by the Hanjin Group, summoned Hanjin chairman Cho Yang-ho again on Friday, after he spent Thursday night in the detention house. They will probe into the possibility that he used sludge funds to lobby politicians and bureaucrats.
The prosecution is known to suspect through the remark of a Hanjin director that Cho himself ordered the lobby.
Prosecutors have also discovered that Hanjin gave bribes to members of the National Assembly, and wish to verify motives and the amount of the funds involved.
