Announcements on Military Service Graft, Not Before the General Elections

The Public Prosecutors Office has decided not to announce the results of its joint investigation with the Ministry of National Defense on military service graft before the general election.
A source from the Prosecutors Office revealed that "While there had been plans for a mid-progress report on the investigation before the elections, considering the political sensitiveness of the issue, we have made a decision not to make any announcements on the progress and the results of the investigation."
He continued saying "The investigation on any corruption in the military service will be carried out thoroughly, regardless of the politicial scene, and those found guilty of any unlawfulness will be prosecuted in a judicial settlement, no matter of his or her party affiliation or status."
"Ever since the joint investigation team on military service graft started its work, many
reports have been registered at the prosecutors office and the related authorities. Considering the angry national sentiment on the issue, a more thorough and careful investigation will be done." he added.
