Seven Men Summoned for Questioning over Draft-Dodging Fail to Appear
The joint investigation team on draft-dodging announced Friday that it summoned seven young men, all of whom are sons of politicians, to appear for questioning. However, none of the young men complied with the order. One prosecutor said, "Of the seven summoned, two are currently staying overseas and asked us to postpone the questioning until next week. One man who is in Korea asked us to reschedule until the opposition Grand National Party formulates its opinion on the summons."
The investigation team has decided to call the seven men in for questioning again early next week. Investigators also reviewed the medical records of one politician's son exempt from military service for mental illness. The commission decided not to question him after confirming the verity of his medical records.
