Talks on Extending Range of South Korean Missiles

South Korea and the U.S. will hold working-level talks on April 10, to discuss extending the range of domestic missiles.

South Korea wants to extend the allowable range of its missiles to 300 kilometers, from the present 160 kilometers. Korea is also proposing extending the range of missiles designated for scientific research and development to 500 kilometers.

Korea's Director General of the North American Affairs Bureau Song Min-soon and the Unites States' Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation Robert Einhorn, will represent their respective countries at the talks.
