Nicaraguan President to Visit Korea
Nicaraguan President Arnoldo Aleman will pay a state visit to Korea from May 13 to 16 in response to an earlier invitation from his Korean counterpart Kim Dae-jung, Chong Wa Dae spokesman Park Joon-young announced on May 2.At the scheduled summit on May 15, the heads of state will discuss measures to comprehensively enhance relations between the two nations.
"It will be the first official state visit, since the establishment of formal diplomatic ties between the two nations in 1962", a spokesman was quoted as saying, continuing, "it will certainly pave the way for Seoul to set up closer ties with South American countries".
