MDP Demands Investigation into the Linda Kim Scandal

Chong Dong-yong, a spokesman of the Millennium Democratic Party (MDP), demanded on May 4 that, "The rising suspicions about Linda Kim's lobbying should be thoroughly investigated if there was any bribery."

Just before Chong made this remark he had a meeting with leaders of the MDP which was presided over by Chairperson So Yong-hun. "The prosecutor's office will decide whether or not to investigate, but if there is any suspicion the authorities should take action," claimed Chong.

The MDP did not state their official position on the Linda Kim Scandal but as suspicion is mounting they have shifted in support of clearing up any doubts, according to a source at the MDP.

Vice-spokesman of the United Liberal Democrats (ULD) Lee Kyu-yang commented, "It's been days since Linda Kim's lobby activities have been disclosed but the prosecutor's office is not taking proper steps, and so the public has growing suspicions."
