Two Kims to Meet
President Kim Dae-jung and former president Kim Young-sam are scheduled to have a dinner meeting at Chong Wa Dae.The dinner will be the first one-on-one meeting since the 1997 presidental elections.
Chong Wa Dae spokesman Park Joon-young said on May 8 that the two will talk about Kim Young-sam's efforts to achieve inter-Korea talks in 1994. The purpose of the meeting is to aid President Kim in the upcoming summit talks scheduled for June.
Park Jong-wong of the Grand National Party said that Kim Young-sam will not only talk about the summit talks, but will also have a few words of criticism for President Kim and his administration.
