Summit Meeting Between Kim and Aleman
President Kim Dae-jung met with Nicaraguan president Arnoldo Aleman at Chong Wa Dae on May 14. The two leaders agreed to cooperate with the aim of advancing economic development in Korea and Nicaragua.During the meeting, President Kim commented that Nicaragua's improved standard of living was a result of President Aleman's efforts to further democratize Nicaragua.
President Aleman stated that he hopes the two Koreas will achieve reunification in the near future.
