Lee Jong-chan To Study Abroad
After failing to be elected in the general election on April 13, Lee Jong-chan, former chief of National Intelligence, declared an end to his political life and that he would study abroad in the United States starting at the beginning of next month.An official close to Lee explained that, "He (Lee) will express his intention to resign his party post, including his post as chairman in the Chongno electoral district. It is the former chief's intention not to conduct any further acts for the government."
Lee Jong-chan will be at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University as a visiting researcher.
