Lee Hoi-chang Announcement to Run in the GNP Presidential Election
Lee Hoi-chang, the current president of the Grand National Party (GNP), is planning to announce on May 23 his plan to run in the GNP presidential elections, used to select a party leader. The election will take place on May 31 at the GNP convention."President Lee will resign from his post after he declares his intention to run in the election. Therefore, Kang Chang-sung, the oldest of the parties vice-presidents, will take care of the party's affairs," said a related official.
