South Korea Re-elected to OPCW Executive Committee
The Hague, Netherlands - South Korea will again sit on the executive committee of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Also on the committee are the People's Republic of China, Japan, India, and Saudi Arabia. South Korea has been on the OPCW committee since its establishment in 1997.At the meeting, motions on chemical weapons were unanimously agreed upon, and also of note was South Korea's motion for North Korea to be invited to apply to the OPCW at its earliest convenience.
