The article carried on our homepage Sept. 7 titled "Kim and Clinton Agree on 4-Party Mechanism for Korean Peace," which said that the two heads of states had discussed the use of a four-party mechanism. The article was based on a briefing given by Chong Wa Dae officials prior to the actual meeting in New York. In fact, Kim and Clinton did not have time to discuss the four-party talks, as "the two discussed a wide range of issues concerning support for reconciliation between South and North Korea," Chong Wa Dae officials later explained.
