Chinese Prime Minister and President Kim to Meet Before ASEM
Zhu Rong-ji, Chinese prime minister, will make an official visit to Seoul Oct. 17-22 at President Kim Dae-jung's invitation, presidential spokesman Park Joon-young said.Mr. Zhu and Mr. Kim will be holding bilateral talks on inter-Korean relations in the wake of the June 15 summit and on economic cooperation between Seoul and Beijing. The talks will take place before the Asia-Europe Meeting in Seoul scheduled for Oct. 20-21.
Mr. Zhu, ranked No. 2 in the Chinese government hierarchy, will also attend ASEM along with senior officials of the political bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
