Kim Meeting to Air Before U.S. Summit
President Kim Dae-jung's visit to Washington is set at March 6-11, with the summit meeting with President George W. Bush scheduled on March 7 Washington time, the Blue House announced Tuesday.While in Washington, Mr. Kim will also meet with key figures of the Bush administration, Congress and academics. Before returning to Seoul on March 11, he will travel to Chicago to address Korean expatriates.
On March 1, Mr. Kim will take to the airwaves for a town hall meeting to discuss the economy, public welfare and inter-Korean relations. It is the first town hall meeting in nearly two years. The Korean Broadcasting System, Munwha Broadcasting Corporation and Seoul Broadcasting System will jointly telecast the two-hour program.
