Castro Considers Visiting 2 Koreas

HAVANA - Cuban leader Fidel Castro said on Sunday that he will positively consider making a visit to both North and South Korea, to aid trust-building between the two divided countries.

Mr. Castro was responding to South Korean National Assembly Speaker Lee Man-sup's suggestion on Sunday.

The speaker is in the Cuban capital to attend the 105th gathering of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. He put forth the idea in a face-to-face meeting with the Cuban leader.

"It would be a good idea for you to visit North and South Korea, as we are in the process of building up trust through inter-Korean dialogue," Mr. Lee said.

Mr. Castro replied that "it is a good idea," and that he would take a positive look at it.
