Cardless ATM at Hanvit Bank
Customers of Hanvit Bank can now withdraw cash from automated teller machines without using plastic cards. The bank began offering the cardless option Tuesday.
Using only their personal identification number, the bank's account holders can withdraw up to 300,000 won ($223) per day from cash machines and transfer as much as 20 million won. To use this service, customers need only apply at the bank and be assigned a personal identification code.
Besides money withdrawals, the banking customers will have access to the usual menu of ATM services, such as cash deposits and loan payments.
Chohung Bank is the only other commercial bank to provide cardless ATM services.
