U.S., Korean Aides To Exchange Visits

WASHINGTON - Han Seung-soo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will visit the United States in June, according to the Korean ambassador in Washington. U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, who originally planned to visit Korea and Japan in May, will visit the two countries either in mid-June or late July, Ambassador Yang Sung-chul added during a press conference Thursday. "The two countries are discussing the exact dates and schedules."

Mr. Han is expected to discuss plans related to the expected resumption of negotiations between Pyongyang and Washington.

Although Mr. Powell said he would visit Seoul in July in connection with his attendance at a regional meeting in Hanoi, Mr. Yang said the visit might be made earlier.
