'Paperless Government' Taking Off
The Blue House announced Thursday it will replace many of its paper documents with "e-documents" starting Monday to kick off its "e-government" drive."Achieving e-government should be a focus of the people's government," the statement said
"The key to success will be achieving this goal," President Kim Dae-jung said at the Blue House.
The Blue House documents to be circulated on the Internet during the first-phase will be those available for public scrutiny, papers detailing coordination between senior presidential secretaries and those related to public opinion polls.
An official at the presidential office said its entire staff has completed training for the first stage of the project.
