How Bored Analysts Kill Time

Over a sixth of executives at Kosdaq-listed companies are from Seoul; nearly a fifth are Seoul National University alumni, and their average age is near 50. The Kosdaq Listed Companies Association analyzed data on 2,955 executives of the 583 companies listed on the exchange.

Seoul National University alumni accounted for 17.2 percent of the management pool, with graduates of Yonsei, Korea and Hanyang University trailing. Nearly 40 percent of the executives at Kosdaq-listed firms are in their 40s with those in their 50s close behind. Nearly a third have at least a masters degree.
