Credit Card Complaints Rise
The Financial Supervisory Service said Wednesday that there was a sharp increase in credit card-related complaints made against savings institutions.Nearly 400 cases of conflicts arising from the use of credit cards were reported in the first half of the year, an increase of 32 percent compared with the same period last year.
That contrasted with the decline in complaints related to loans, collateral, checks, notes and savings accounts, the agency said. But savings institutions appeared more willing to resolve complaints in favor of the consumer, as nearly 50 percent of the cases were done so compared with less than 40 percent last year.
