IMF Appoints New Seoul Chief

The Ministry of Finance and Economy said Friday that the International Monetary Fund has tentatively appointed Paul Gruenwald, the current deputy chief of the Asia Pacific Department at the organization, as the successor to the current IMF senior representative in Seoul, David Coe. Mr. Coe steps down from the position on Friday.

Mr. Gruenwald will begin his one-year tenure at the Seoul office in September. Mr. Gruenwald supervised the restructuring of Korea as a member of the IMF mission team in 1998.
