&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93Information is lacking on Korea

I am a high school freshman. I have had the pleasure of making many friends from different countries with the help of the Internet, by chatting, usually. Recently a foreign friend asked me about the history and culture of the Joseon era. I tried my best to help him but there were limits. My friend asked me for a Web site for reference, so I started to look for a Web site that provided insight into our history. But even with the great amount of time I invested to find one, I was not able to find a suitable site.

Recently there have been many television broadcasts pertaining to the distorted historical facts of Korea published in other countries' history textbooks. The situation is no different on the Web. Absence of representation is a serious problem. It is urgent that we provide to the world the facts about Korea.
