Third Cyber Games set for Seoul

Dates for the Third World Cyber Games competition have been set: Oct. 12 to Oct. 18, in Seoul. About 600 contestants from 50 countries were expected to compete in the cyber version of the Olympic Games, said Hank Jeong, chief executive and president of International Cyber Marketing Co., which organizes the event. Based on a poll of 3,500 Internet users from 205 countries, the company added two more game categories to the six on last year's list. Contestants will compete in six personal computer-based games and two console games. Total prize money will be increased from $300,000 to $400,000.
