&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93TV program should heed commercials

I heard in a TV commercial that Korea is experiencing water shortages. Since then I have made a diligent effort not to waste the water that I had taken for granted. I use less detergent while washing dishes and clothes. I collect used water after washing my hands and use it for cleaning scouring cloths or pour it into the toilet reserves.
While I was trying to save water, a comedy program on KBS used water guns to punish guests playing a game. The amount of wasted water was tremendous. It was not only pathetic that the program tried to draw a few laughs by humiliating the celebrities with water but also baffling that a national television network did such a thing while simultaneously running water-saving commercials. Am I a fool to save water?
