&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93Phone firm too pushy

I am a homemaker in Seoul. Like most Korean households, we use Korea Telecom’s phone service. Since last Autumn I have received calls from the telephone company, urging me to use its high-speed Internet service. The calls continue, even though I have rejected their offers because I have Internet service from another company.
In one week, I received around 30 calls. I asked the company why the persistence, and a telemarketer said, “The apartment complex you live in is our marketing target.”
Now I even get calls on Sunday. Recently, I was so upset I tried to talk to the person in charge of marketing. An employee said, “Come to our office if you have something to say.” I think Korea Telecom is practicing a form of violence.
