[Photo]Cloned milk cow gives birth to a healthy calf
The National Livestock Research Institute of North Gyeongsang province announced yesterday that a female milk cow, which was born through somatic cell cloning, delivered a 48-kilogram healthy calf on April 18. It was the second delivery in the country in parturition attempts done on cloned cows and the first case born through in vitro fertilization among cloned mammals here. The delivery helped prove that cloned cows can conceive and give birth to normal offspring. Provided by the National Livestock Research Institute
