&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93Column told the truth on charity

Thank you for printing the Viewpoint article by Chang Young-hee on Tuesday. This moving article about the plight of the poor in Korea affected me greatly ― and I hope it has affected others as well.
This is an important issue, not just for Korea, but for all humanity. I hope that your newspaper will provide further information on how to assist these people in need.
Assisting people in need is more than charity ― it’s adding value to a nation. It’s not “something for nothing.” It’s our duty as human beings to be compassionate and to aid those who need our help.
And any of us could be the individual responsible for helping someone of great value achieve success in the world ― for himself or herself and for all of us.
I hope that you will seek and publish more information on this topic.
