Software firm moves eastward
Haansoft Inc. said yesterday that it had agreed to sell its office building in Nonhyeon-dong, southern Seoul, to Prime Mutual Saving Bank, an affiliate of Prime Group. The winning bid for the building was 18.1 billion won ($12.5 million). The software maker said the building was sold at a public auction Monday. An earlier auction with a minimum 20-billion-won price attracted no bidders. The minimum was lowered for the second attempt. Haansoft plans to invest the proceeds from the sale of the office building into development of new products. The software maker said that it would move its offices from its old building to Techno-mart in Guuidong, eastern Seoul.
