NCsoft, MSN Korea in game deal
NCsoft Corp., a domestic online digital entertainment company, and MSN Korea, an online portal run by Microsoft Korea, signed an agreement yesterday to collaborate on an Internet game venture. According to MSN Korea, NCsoft will be in charge of peer-to-peer games that users can download to their mobile phones, board games and card games. Officials at other online game portals said the competition among Korea’s game providers, such as Hangame Communications Inc., will become much tougher with NCsoft entering the race. NCsoft is Korea’s leading provider of online games. It has built a deep subscription base with its popular role-playing game Lineage.
