&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93Performer’s bodyguards overreacted

A concert was held on Haeundae beach in Busan on Saturday. The place was packed with schoolgirls, who desperately wanted to see their idols. A well-known pop singer walked through the crowd on his way to the stage. Many girls surrounded him, trying to get a closer look. The girls and the singer’s bodyguards were struggling with each other, when I saw a very shocking scene ― bodyguards were touching girls inappropriately, thinking it would not be noticed.
The harassed girls were embarrassed and standing back as the performer arrived on stage. It is understandable that bodyguards are responsible for their employer’s safety but they were clearly overreacting. Some young spectators were crying, ashamed of what had happened.
